Last Week

I am going to blog about last week & this week, which is the last week of Yay days.

Last week does not seem to distant from me for the experiences were valuable, well, it's better late than never.

Last week - "The Rose Mansion" production week

I agreed to cast for my friends final year project which had honestly had doubts on before and thank God I agreed to go for that in fact was one of the greatest times of my holidays. Call time was at Gallop Rd, bet most people don't know where that is, I know I don't.

7am to me is a killer, Everyday I drag my pathetic self into washing up and getting ready to set off to hail a freaking cab that is willing to take in 3 extra people along the way. I don't understand why but it seems that the cabby nowadays are not really interested in our money anymore.

That was just the appetisers, the highlight was the new friends I actually met, Raniel & Kok Xiang and the other crew members. They're all actually very nice, far off from what I expect them to be. I got to know friends whom I knew better, friends that I did not treasure before but not anymore of that. They felt so real to me, not that they were not before but it's just that, its closer.

So much for people, now lets get down to the location itself, my god, it was filled with Bat shit and that's was what we got all over our bodies during a fight scene. It seem so ruined & abandoned, so much so that nature kinda reclaim a portion of it back. I was not that surprised till someone told me that it was had only been abandoned for 4 years.

The acting part was really the greatest insight that one whom is in the studies of film can get. I realised now why there are awards given to the best actor & actresses, acting ain't a walk in the park I tell you. There were scenes whereby you knew what it felt like to be natural yet you can't just shake away the feeling that the camera is in your direction. There were time whereby I felt a letdown to the crew for my incompetence, Thankfully, they were pretty tolerant.

Oh...just a insight to note down for good reference the next time I come back to read...

Cast:

Jem(me) - Ivan (All looks but nothing inside)
Kok Xiang - Jason (The timid gangster)
Raniel - Benjamin Zhi Wei (The nerdy good friend)
Betty - Stephanie (The sweet and murderous part-time girlfriend)
Apple - Clare (The injury prone psycho)

Crew:

Ye Xiang - almost expressionless director
Candice - Very nice uhh...Shes got a big position
Melissa - Pledged-to-care-for-you producer

Ok I'm sorry about the rest but I just didn't get your names in time.

This are mainly the people that I hung out with for the whole 4 days shoot. I must say that these were really one of the best times I had...hopefully the Sentosa outing will be carried out as planned. =)

Compared to the fun last week, this week is not as fun, still fruitful though...

Thanks be to God

Happy Birthday Jerome

I really NEED those other freaking photos...to be continued.
